High Precision
At its core, the TK6 employs a 17 µm pixel-pitch detector, larger than the 12 µm sensors commonly used in budget models. The result is a stronger signal-to-noise ratio and sharper, higher-contrast thermal images, especially when detecting subtle temperature differences. With 40 mK thermal sensitivity, TK6 detects temperature differences as small as 0.04 °C—ideal for pinpointing electrical hotspots, heat leaks, electrical faults, or building defects. -

This thermal imaging camera works well and is easy to use. Camera provides exceptional resolution for its price point. Rugged construction, and comes with a nice case. I don’t have any other camera to compare it, but it does seem to be pretty accurate.

In summary I think this camera is worth above and beyond what you pay for it. The lower price cameras will not give you the same picture, features and software. Sometimes in life, you need to spend a little bit more to get a lot more. Some of the 256 x 192 cameras out there you don’t know who makes them, and they don’t have a website. They don’t have an Internet presence, and if you need support it could be a problem. I will be giving this five stars but if I could deduct a half a star I would. I wish it had a decent case to protect it.

Separate thermal and visual images are needed for complete thermography. The automatic visual image option is not there. even a $3,300 camera having this option. No videoography option. Only reasone to buy the camera is thermal resolution. If the above problem is addressed than it will be usefulone. Otherwise not recommended.

I have not seen a camera with Manual Focus at this price point. Let alone the great features this has like 384x288 IR Resolution and Removable Battery.
Took off a star because JPEG post-processing noticeablely degrades the image quality of the photos taken and no settings to change this. Most cameras do this and it's disappointing.
That said the unit itself is made solidly. Also the most consistent and accurate temperatures I've personally seen in a thermal camera. The built-in lens cap, bright flashlight and laser pointer are all useful features.

I'll start by saying that I've not used a professional grade version of one of these before. I have no reference point. However, I do have a couple of friends that have used them and indicated that this seemed to live up to what they had seen in much more expensive units.
I was like a kid in a candy shop finding all the cold spots in our house and making notes of where to check insulation, which doors needed weather strips replaced, which recepticles on outside walls needed a seal added. Also tried it with some circuit boards (My computer and a raspberry pi) and I was able to see which traces had even the slightest difference in temperature.
Speaking of that. I pointed it at my load center (breaker box) and it showed the slightest difference in temperature. I quickly identified that my washer was running (it was) and the server closet from the subtle differences in heat even though I could not tell a difference with my bare hand.
